Speak to villagers so that you can correctly distribute presents on December 24.
Each villager will mention both a type of item and a color.  The types of items
  are omocha (toy), kagu (furniture), kasa (umbrella), gakki (instrument),
  kaden (electronics), kabegami (wallpaper), juutan (carpeting), shokubutsu
  (plant), tabemono (food), ningyou (doll), fuku (shirt), and ranpu (lamp).

Able Sisters

December 1 to 24 - Santa Boots at Shoe Shank

December 1 to 31 - Green, Pink, and Yellow Lightsticks and [Party Poppers]

Catch them with a Net and either sell them for 500 bells each or trade them to
[???] Yukidaru Mama or Snowman Mama {???} for items from the Ice Series.
